I have a 2002 D4G XL dozer w/ 4500 hours the hydrostat trans. isn't working properly, no matter where the speed control is set the machine moves very very slow until i bring the rpms up to 3/4 or more then it will take off to the proper speed for the rpms and speed control, then i can change the speed with the speed control on the joy stick to fast or slow as long as i keep the rpms up.

The main thing I've seen with the G's is the throttle calibration. The engine and pumps have to be at the correct rpms for the ecm to read and make changes properly. The cables stretch or move and it throws it all out of wack. The problem is you need ET to be able to do your calibration.
