Yeah if you used a true coating and not a spray on wipe off type off deal your gonna have to polish. I'm dr color chip'ing my car and talk to a rep of theirs and was recommended correct, polish, IPA/eraser and then dr color chip. The recommend waiting a week to then coat. I don't want to wait that long before polishing/ coating.
